Dutch designer Daniel Schipper is crowdfunding the production of a pendant lamp shade from recyclable plastic. Daniel will start producing his lamp, as soon as 100 pre-orders have been placed. Customers who want to pre-order the lamp don’t have to pay until the goal of 100 orders is reached. At the time of writing 89 orders have been placed, so hurry if you want to light up your house with this limited edition design lamp!
Why crowdfunding?
Daniel chose for crowdfunding to test the potential of his lamp, before starting small scale production. The pre-orders motivate Daniel to continue to work and are also putting him under the pressure to deliver. By getting attention on the internet and displaying the lamp at two locations in Amsterdam, Daniel gathers his pre-orders.
